DAY18(02/02/2023)

 As usual the day started with the quiziz to test the previous day 's learning outcome.

The first session was by  MR Vipin Dua.on the topic Class Library Set up as per KVS Library Policy.

The following points were discussed

Class library Activities

Rules and Regulations etc.

Second session was an online  interactive session with MR Mujib Rahman ,librarian.KV Kanjigode

who is  also a Resource Person right now at ZIET,Gwalior .He is the recipient of the  FullBright   Scholarship and he was sharing his experiences while doing his studies at  European country .The libraries, librarians ,students and the changing library scenario over there was shared by him .The session gave a good opportunity for all the participants to know about his first hand experience  about all above mentioned. It was indeed an  horizon widening  for the participants.

Last session done by MR Faisal ,Resource Person on the topic School Library Association.

He explained the objective ,vision and need of the  SLA India. 

How to be the member of the association.

Professional development programs of the  Association. 

The session was very  informative and fruitful for the participants.

DAY17(01/02/2023)

First session  conducted by Mr. Tejinder Singh on the topic Action Research.

He connected the topic to library scenario how to identify the students  ,need and design ,implement and assesment. 

Second session was by Mr. Rajeev Ranjan on the topic Ethics at Work Place. 

He explained and discussed the  what ethics as  a teacher we have to  follow towards students, administration, colleagues, office   staff and society..

Afternoon session ..tips were  given by the Resource persons on  embedding links of various Google tools in the blog.

DAY16(31/01/2023)

 The first session was by Dr.Roopak Chakaravarthy on the topic IPR, Copyright, and Plagiarism.

Second session done by Mr.Anupam S Prakash on Career Guidance. He discussed so many career options which are not  so flashy in nature but are helpful for the  average students who has skill and interest

Afternoon session was the demo presentation of the individual topics .It was the last session of  individual presentations. 12 participants presented their demo on the assigned topics.

DAY13(28/01/2023)

 The highlight of the day was, its the local tour day for the group. We visited the Rock Garden first, which was created and developed by NEK CHAND . its a sculpture garden created out of waste materials in to beautiful sculptures in an extensive area.

Chandigarh bird sanctuary was an exciting  place with different beautiful birds and scenery.

Next destination was the sukhana lake. Enjoyed the beauty of the lake and the highlight of the area was the structure building with symbol of chandigarh.

Next destination was the Rose Garden. .which had variety of roses in different hues.

The day was very enjoyable and refreshing .

*Balvatika(Before class one .. 3yrs of learning  ) Age of admission in Balvaatika 1 is 3 and not more 4years . SGC quota is not applicable  in admission.  

 Difficulties  facing .. shortage of infrastructure  and shortage of qualified teachers .

*Swasth Bhacha swasth Bharat.. importance   for the health of students  . 

*Pustakopahar..  Donating the textbooks to the juniors through school library . ( to inculcate the  value  of sharing and caring the environment)

 Take away  of the day is to make students addicted  to books ..

On the occasion of 74th Republic Day Mr.Mukesh Kumar, DC,ZIET ,CHANDIGARH. Unfurled the national flag. Cultural programs were conducted by the participants .

DAY 9 (24/01/2023)

Today morning assembly program was done by my group .. BIBLIOTHECA .  ..I presented the special program on National Girl Child day ..  it included the informations   as when it started ,who initiated ,.. objectives,present scenario in  india and where India stands in gender parity . 

After the morning  assembly  the test of previous day leaning done through  quizzes. Though only 2 questions I made wrong my rank was 21 out of 44 . 

 After that MR .Faisal explained  the evaluation  criteria of each participants   during the course period and after this in school library too .  He explained in detail with the help of evaluation  sheet . 

 

 Todays first session was by MR.Adesh Sharma on  Open Education  Resources: Issues& Content . This session made us familiarize with  many open resources ..like OpenStreetMap,OLC,,NPTEL MOOCS,NDLI,e- gyangosh,swayam,shodhganga, vibrant,e- Yantra etc .   He also explained how to use it . The 5R activities in using the resources .. Retain,Reuse,Revise,Remix,Redistribute etc . 

 This session was very helpful for the librarian  to upgrade the own knowledge  regarding these open resources.

Afternoon Session was the educational trip to punjab university library. Which gave a golden opportunity to visit a heritage library which was inaugurated in 1963 by the late PM Mr, Jawaharlal Nehru. Visited the different sections of library like, acquisition section, circulation ,reading, newspaper section, textbook section, thesis section etc. .The manuscript section and binding  section were very special sections.

 The first session was about CYBER SAFETY AND INTERNET SECURITY. by Mr.Puneeth Modgil Which explained so well about security issues faced from the clients end . The precautions to be taken by the client for the security .

 First session NEP2020:ROLE OF SCHOOL LIBRARY & LIBRARIAN 

A detailed discussion on NEP2020 in general done . by  Mr.Sunil Saini. detailed discussion on the role of librarians in the new scenario.

 Second session on Web Tools to Create Virtual Library Space by Mr.S L Faisal gave  wide knowledge about the different web tools which  can be used for virtual library . which is also required in the changing time.

DAY 2(17/01/2023)

 Detailed discussion on Guidelines For School Library And Procedure Manual was done . which was a guide to function the library in a systematic manner according to KVS. Topics like standard number of books, newspapers, magazines required in the library were discussed. Permissible loss and number of books to weed out were also discussed. 

In the second session regarding School Safety ..we librarians should take care the students as our own children. Its the duty and responsibility of  all teachers to take care the students safety in all means like social, emotional ,psychological,. Physical safety from fall, electricity, and cyber safety should also be  ensured by the teachers.

Afternoon session ..hands on session on Creating Digital Portfolio in Blogger was very interesting, and useful  .

DAY 1(16/01/2023)

 Got acquainted with fellow librarians through  the icebreaking session. Group division and responsibilities were assigned. 

Main highlight of the day was the introduction to Digital Diary.  Which will help the librarian to evaluate the learning progress, create, achieve and reflect the resources. introduced to different types of tools to create the blog. such as Blogger, WordPress, Google sites  etc.
